The end user product P60 series have attracted people’s attention early. In addition to the comprehensive performance of this mobile phone, people also pay more attention to all sections of mobile phone manufacturing and all precise parts.

The media commented that the P60 series can achieve a both beautiful appearance and high performance, largely thanks to the continued use of “Kunlun Glass”. This glass has been well received in the Mate50 series.

Now, more and more people feel the importance of the screen to the mobile phone. This is because the comprehensive performance of a mobile phone, apart from the chip, lies in the screen, which is the most important part that can directly affect the user experience.

In the past, glass, as the main material of the mobile phone screen, was always ignored. However, for modern industry, glass is the “cornerstone” of many industries, and has long existed as a basic material to support the development of many industries. The R&D and production level of hi-tech glass is one of the important symbols of the development of glass materials in a country.

With the needs of economic development, the application of hi-tech glass has been more widely used. As the key and basic material of industrial equipment and household supplies, hi-tech glass plays an important role in medicine, aerospace, aviation, ships, electronics, nuclear industry and other fields.

Unfortunately, the core technology of hi-tech glass is mostly in the hands of a few enterprises in the United States, Japan, Germany and other countries for many years. They highly monopolize it in price, tightly block it in technology, and have the right to speak in the high-end glass market, which makes China face many barriers in many high-tech and sophisticated projects.

In order to produce a piece of “Made-in-China” hi-tech glass and tell a good story about “China glass”, in 2014, I took my team to Beibei District, Chongqing, and established Chongqing Aureavia Hi-tech Glass Co., Ltd., and then I began my dream journey of “Made-in-China” hi-tech glass.

There is no doubt that the process of starting a business is difficult, and our glass and confidence have been thoroughly tempered, but the results are fruitful. We insisted on independent innovation to become a world-class hi-tech glass material company and a core supplier of value customers. With these honors and missions, we focused on the journey, from basic research to pilot production, and then to mass production, and embarked on the road of glass independently developed by us.

From aerospace to electronic consumer products, we have overcome one technical difficulty after another and made one international R&D achievement after another.

With our mission, we have made unremitting efforts since establishment, successfully developed and produced hi-tech glass with a thickness of 1.8-8MM, and become the supplier of original hi-tech glass sheets for supporting products of a certain domestic aircraft and designated by relevant state institutions, and entered the catalog of qualified products for customer material/standard part engineering appraisal; my team and I have also been commended by the industrial alliance, which shows the responsibility and mission that ATG people dare to take, as well as the full feelings of patriotism.

In 2018, we started the R&D of “Kunlun Glass”. My team of scientists and I know very well that in the field of smart phones, foreign enterprises have strictly blocked the technology, and domestic hi-tech glass has always lacked competitiveness. Therefore, we can only study hard from theoretical verification to testing experiments, and start from scratch step by step.

In particular in 2020, when the pandemic broke out, the production of Kunlun Glass fell into a short stagnation. However, with the efforts of everyone in ATG, we still completed the basic preparations for the commercial production of “Kunlun Glass”. In the autumn of 2021, the first piece of “Kunlun Glass” finally came out, and it became the strongest mobile phone cover glass in the world; its performance index reached or even surpassed that of similar foreign products.

At this moment, many years of hard work finally came to fruition, and in that piece of transparent and solid glass, there were too many people’s painstaking efforts. I was extremely excited and burst into tears.

ATG people always know that only by continuous innovation, challenges, and hard work can there be a bright future. In September 2022, with the release of MATE50, the rock-solid Kunlun Glass shined brilliantly, which greatly encouraged us to continue to struggle on the right road of new material R&D and production.

Now, I want to tell the world that ATG’s high-tech glass has the qualification to compete with the world’s top hi-tech glass enterprises. I am honored to lead the team to create this history. But I want to add that this is definitely not the end, but a brand new beginning.

As reported by People’s Daily Online and Chongqing Daily, ATG’s hi-tech glass has broken through a large number of key technologies of hi-tech glass, and developed into an industrial leader integrating R&D, production and sales. It has more than 200 key patents related to electronic consumer glass and hi-tech glass function materials, and led the formulation of 2 national standards and 1 industry standard. In 2022, it ranked first nationwide in shipment compared with similar products.

In fact, my team and I know very well that today, the R&D of hi-tech glass has become a mirror reflecting a country’s scientific and technological strength. From this glass, people can see the growth of science and technology in China, and also know the countless researchers moving forward silently behind the scenes.

What I believe is that the efforts of everyone in the hi-tech glass industry will gain fruits. Every minute and second in this industry bears in mind our youth, joy, tears, flowers, the sun, the moon and the stars. We want to tell the little-known story in the glass industry with more people and share the joy and bitterness behind each glass R&D and manufacturing.
