On June 29, 17 students from the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Wuhan University of Technology came to a successful conclusion in their one-week study and practice in ATG. This internship is an important measure for ATG to strengthen university-enterprise cooperation with key universities and promote personnel training.
On June 24, He Jiabing, Deputy General Manager of ATG, Jiang Hong, Chief Scientist, and heads of relevant departments attended the welcoming ceremony. He Jiabing on behalf of the Company extended a warm welcome to the students. She stated that the Company has always regarded “innovation” as the driving force of the Company’s development in its ten-year journey, and attached great importance to cultivating innovative talents. She hoped that the students could enhance mutual understanding between the university and the enterprise through this internship and combine what they have learned with practice; she looked forward to creating the development of new hi-tech glass materials with outstanding students of Wuhan University of Technology in the future.
Jiang Hong stated that this internship was a window for the students to understand society and enterprises and the opportunity was very precious, and hoped that the students can think, plan and gain in the internship.
During the following internship, the students learned the development course, values, vision and mission of the Company and got a more comprehensive understanding of the Company. The students carefully studied the requirements of safety production and enhanced their safety awareness; their learning of the production principle of float glass not only enriched their professional knowledge, but also had a deeper understanding of the production technology of hi-tech glass.
In the R&D Center, the students actively participated in the hands-on operation in the laboratory. Under the guidance of the Company’s R&D personnel, they started experiments, turned theoretical knowledge into practical operation ability, and accumulated valuable practical experience.
On the last day of the internship, the students shared their internship summary. At the sharing meeting, the students expressed that through the one-week’s internship, they not only learned professional knowledge and skills, but also deeply understood the development prospects of ATG and the new hi-tech glass material industry, and had a clearer understanding and planning for the future study and career development.
In the future, ATG will continue to strengthen cooperation with key target universities in talent exchange, practice classes and product development, so as to provide strong support for finding and cultivating outstanding professionals and building the core competitiveness of ATG’s human resources.
